How much does membership to MMY cost?
MMY main cast membership is £60 a month, payable 12 months of the year. Rehearsals are weekly with short breaks for Christmas and Summer. Apprentices and Graduates membership is £40 a month and Youngstars membership is payable on a termly basis.
Extra rehearsals leading up to shows, show costs and an official MMY cast t-shirt are included in the fee.
When are auditions held?
Formal auditions are usually held in the month after productions. However, sometimes a small number of spaces become available, so if you would like to join please email firstname.lastname@example.org and she can advise you as to when the next time will be.
What do auditions consist of?
We ask potential members to prepare a musical theatre song to act and sing (preferably with a backing track on CD or i-phone/i-pad, or a cappella), and a monologue. They perform to the creative team (mums and dads are welcome to be present if they are nervous) and a decision is made that day. We are a very friendly bunch and know how nerve-wracking auditions can be so we do try to be as welcoming as possible.
Where and when do MMY meet?
